Greetings, STEC Family! | ||
I am looking forward to journeying with you through the book 40 Day Social Justice Bible Challenge.

During this season we will be invited to read Scripture with our eyes wide open to the world. Each day we will have the opportunity to reflect, pray and act through:
1. A daily biblical passage
2. A brief reflection
3. A practical challenge
4. A prayer
This book gently but clearly introduces the idea that systems, policies, and institutions can harm or heal, which is particularly powerful during this season of Lent, inviting us to examine our habits, assumptions, and comforts. Additionally, we shall be invited to listen for voices often ignored.
See you soon in the Zoom room!
St. Titus’ is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
Topic: STEC Christian Formation

Thank you to all who are up for the challenge to read, reflect, pray, act and grow together during this Lenten season. Thank you to those who were able to join tonight’s Christian Formation session. It was a rich and spirit-filled conversation. Thank you for your witness, your openness and your powerful story sharing!
As we continue to move through our sacred journey in the wilderness with Jesus, I am confident that we will be enriched by our shared time of reading Scripture, reflection and honest conversation. Our daily reading schedule is listed below, albeit a week into our Lenten season (last was an extraordinary time in our community!). May we offer one another grace, for any missed days, as we move through these days, and may we offer our gratitude for the continual invitation to begin again each day.
Here are some helpful strategies in staying motivated:
A SIMPLE DAILY RHYTHM
As you move through each day’s reading:
– Read the Scripture with openness and curiosity.
– Reflect on what captures your attention or challenges your assumptions.
– Notice how God may be speaking through the text, personally or communally
– Pray asking for wisdom, courage, and compassion
– Act by choosing one small, intentional way to live out the Scripture that day.
We are in the process of ordering copies of the book The Social Justice Bible Challenge, which will be available for pick up in our parish office. Please let me know if you would like a copy reserved for you.
Challenge accepted, and embraced!
Your sister in Christ,
Rev. Valerie

Jesus was led by the Spirit in the wildrerness, where for forty days He was tempted by the devil.
